CARWRECK.REPORT / NO POLICE REPORT?
When there’s no police report
It happens, especially with minor-looking crashes and busy agencies.

When a crash must be reported
Georgia law generally requires drivers to report crashes involving injury, death, or property damage above a set amount to the police.
If police didn’t come
- Call the non-emergency line and ask whether you can still file a report, and how.
- Write down everything while it’s fresh: time, place, what happened, the other driver’s info.
- Keep your photos, and screenshot any texts with the other driver.
- Report the claim to the insurance companies promptly.
Get medical care if you’re hurt, and tell the doctor it was from a car crash. Medical records become key evidence when there’s no report.
